Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter "Regulation"), this page describes the methods of processing users' personal data of users who subscribe the “WORTHY- World Wars Toward Heritage for Youth” newsletter on the project landing webpage https://worthy-project.eu/.

LEGAL BASIS AND PURPOSE OF THE TREATMENT
The purpose of the treatment is to give the opportunitiy, from the project landing webapge, to subscribe the newsletter, in order to disseminate news and activities organized in the framework of the European project “WORTHY- World Wars Toward Heritage for Youth”, only with explicit consent.

The legal basis of the processing is the granting of consent to the subjects providing the data, pursuant to art. 6 par. 1 letter a) of EU Regulation 2016/679.

CATEGORIES OF INTERESTED PARTIES WHOSE DATA ARE PROCESSED
Categories of interested parties whose data are processed include any physical person wishing to subscribe the “WORTHY- World Wars Toward Heritage for Youth” newsltter on the project landing webpage https://worthy-project.eu/.

The data being processed are the following:

  1. Identification data (name, surname, email address, organization, country, role eventually) and credentials of the interested users subscribing the newsletter.

PROCESSING METHODS AND DATA RECIPIENTS
The data will be processed by persons authorized by the Data Controllers or by external subjects who process the data as data processors.
In particular for managing the newsletter’s subscription, the platform Mailchimp of The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp is used.

The data will also be communicated to public bodies to ensure compliance with legal obligations, always in compliance with current legislation on the protection of personal data. 

PROVISION OF DATA
The provision of data by interested parties is optional and failure to provide data or consent will make it impossible to receive the newsletter.

PERIOD OF STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
Personal data are processed and stored untill your cancellation request or, failing that, until the “WORTHY- World Wars Toward Heritage for Youth” project is active, in accordance with the principle of minimisation enunciated by art. 5 par. 1 letter c) of EU Regulation 2016/679. 

EXTRA EU DATA TRANSFER
Personal data are processed in countries outside the European Community, through the platform Mailchimp The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp, resident on servers located in the USA. 
Data transfer towards the USA is based on standard contractual clauses, available at the following address https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/#6._International_Transfers.
In the absence of adequate safeguards, processing in non-EU countries is carried out with the express consent of the interested parties.

RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES
Interested parties may at any time withdraw their consent without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing before revocation and they may assert their rights indicated in articles 15-22 of the GDPR by contacting the Data Controllers or their Data Protection Officers at the references indicated above.

RIGHT OF COMPLAINT
Interested parties who believe that the processing of personal data relating to them is carried out in violation of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent Personal Data Protection Authority, as provided for by art. 77 of the Regulation itself, or to take appropriate judicial offices (Article 79 of the Regulation).
